Error Code Questions for Customer

When someone sends a ticket with an error code or saying that they have an occurring error, always ask the following questions - unless we have a clear solution to a specific error code already listed.

  1. What version of our software are you using?
    • On the MAC, go to the top of your screen - next to the apple you see "RetirementView". Click on that then select "About this software".
    • On the Windows version, click the help dropdown at the top of your window. Select "About this software".
  2. What version of Windows/iOS are you using?
    • To find your iOS version on Mac, go to the top of your screen. Click on the apple and select "About this computer".
    • To find out which version of Windows your PC is running, press Windows logo key + R, type winver, then select OK.
  3. What were you doing exactly when the error occurred?
    • Sequence of events before the error.
  4.  Can you please send us your data file so we can take a look at that as well.
