QUESTION:
I accidently saved a client’s info as the default data for Torrid. It makes things very confusing when I am starting a new client. Is there a way I can reset the default data to the original simple layout it was when I started?

ANSWER:
2 methods of resetting it... 1). Save the attached defaults.dat file to this location: My Documents\Torrid Technologies\Retirement Savings Planner\defaults.dat Save the one I'm attaching as the new one in same location. That will save you some time. 2). ANother way .... start program and w/o opening any client file... go thru all the inputs and settings and screens and reset to defaults you like... then do File ->Save as Default Data... that will then save the current state of the program into the defaults.dat file. As you found out when you create a New Client it starts off with those values... purpose is so you can preset inflation, returns, tax rates, etc. one time in a way that sets your preferences so you don't have to enter those every single time.
