Can't Save Files - Folders are set to Read Only

Originally from ticket #12081.

Hello,
JOSEPH E G. stated that he downloaded the retirement view 14 software, and was having issues a creating client. He could not get the picture or the actual file to save, an error message would pop up stating that the file could not be saved. I did a join.me session with him and when I attempted to save a client or a open a client the pop up window that shows the documents saved to his computer would never load. I did verify that he had the correct software.

Joe was running Windows 7 Professional.
His entire Torrid Technologies folder tree inside of "documents" was set to READ ONLY.

I did a right click on the folders and clicked Properties. And the Read Only box was set.
I unchecked that box and hit Apply to get the read only settings off the Client Files, Retirement Savings Planner, and also the Torrid Technologies folder inside Documents.  You can try doing the top level folder which is supposed to do all subfolders.  If that doesn't work you have to do each one individually.

This fixed his problem SAVING the files to his hard drive.

The printing problem is with Konika Minolta printers. They do not respond to our software command to "print in color". This is an issue with this printer line that we have not been able to fix.

He can either
1). Change his printer default settings to COlor BEFORE opening RetirementView. This will set his printer default to color and then the RetirementView printouts should indeed be in color.

or

2). Install a PDF Printer and print to the PDF format first.  Search PDF Printer in zendesk and you will find the full article on printing to PDF
