PROBLEM: I am running your software on a MacBook and it has been running smoothly until I attempt to link to an update. I get an error message that states, "There was a problem trying to check for a new version. AppUpdate Client Setup: Method '~' of object '~' failed." Can you help me update the software?
OK something is blocking the AppUpdate system from accessing the internet.
Just do this... go to this webpage:
http://www.torrid-tech.com/downloads/downloads.html
Download and install the UPDATE to 2010 and that will get you the latest version.
There is not a way that we are aware of to fix the AppUpdate issue. We are removing that system and replacing it and are about half way through that effort... Until then just know it doesn't work on your computer and that we will email you (and every other customer) when any new release is ready...
