I tried to check for an update, and I got this error message: "AppUpdate

We have gotten reports of the AppUpdate error on a couple of computers... but we do not know the solution... it is only happening on a small number of computers and thus we think it is related to anti-virus, anti-spyware, or firewall software that tries to prevent apps from connecting out onto the internet.
If you are familiar with the software you have for those purposes, see if you can add the planner.exe to the "allow" list for connecting to the internet. Not sure if that will fix the problem but you could try it.
Alternatively, we will email you when a new release is available. We will only have 4 or 5 releases this year so you don't need to be checking every week for an update.
