Question on cash infusions

To whom it may concern:
If I do a cash infusion, like the sale of a home, why will it not allow me to give a yield. Even in the help section no. 6 it says to leave a 0% cause its a one time lump sum. However, you still grow that money at an estimated yield over you're lifetime. How do I input that info to reflect it on my chart.

Thanks, John.

Hi John,

If you set the growth rate before the sale then it will indeed increase the value of the infusion.

For the period AFTER the infusion, the infusion has already been added to the investment pool you list in the last column of the home sale infusion.... there is no repeating payments so the 2nd growth factor on the Cash Infusions line does not apply....

The growth rate of the sale of the home AFTER it is sold and infused... will be the blended rate of the bucket of money that you added it to... so if you added it to Taxable then it grows at the rates of return set on the Taxable investments....

Does this help?
