Activation Key Issues - you received your key but it doesn't work

When you enter a correct and valid, unexpired Activation Key, the Retirement Savings Planner will instantly pop up a message stating "All fields will be unlocked.  Happy Planning!".  If that does not happen, the key did not work.

Here is a list of reasons why your Activation Key may not activate the software:

  • the key has expired; your subscription has expired
  • you typed in the key and didn't enter the "dashes"; those are part of the key and must be entered
  • you have the wrong "edition" installed; for example, you bought Pro version but have installed the Personal edition.  In which case you don't need to uninstall, just install the version you bought and it will set your computer to that version.  If you need to re-install then go here: http://www.torrid-tech.com/downloads/downloads.html    (If you don't know what version you bought, check your receipt or enter a support ticket and we will tell you.
  • you typed in the key and did not do it correctly; missed a digit or entered wrong digits
  • your Software ID on YOUR computer screen inside the running software does NOT match the Software ID we have on file or that you submitted... this usually happens when you install on 2nd computer and do not enter your registration the same as before.  Open the running software.  Click Activate after purchase.  Compare the Software ID on the screen to the one in the email to see if they match EXACTLY.
  • on rare occasions, our system has generated the wrong key mainly b/c we did not manually delete an old id out of our system.  We can check this as a last resort if everything above looks good.

If your Activation Key does not work, check the above list and then Submit a Ticket if you still have a problem.  Please indicate which of the above problems apply to you.
