I am getting the attached error message when I try to run a manual update.
I am running RSP 2010.1 under Windows XP under VMWARE Fusion on a Mac.
Is this because I had a hard drive crash and had to have it replaced? I requested a new activation key. Is this the correct course of action ?

This has nothing to do with running in VMWare on a Mac, or your key or your hard drive... this is just a problem with the AppUpdate system. It is just not working on some machines... we've tried in vain to fix it to no avail, so for 2011 we will be replacing it. Or at least that's the plan....
Until then we send an email to every customer when a new release is available.
