Social Security Question

Hi Tech Support:

Why are the Social Security payments illustrated by the blue field less than what I input in the planning software? Notice that when the client is age 70, the SS payments shown when you scroll over the age on the graph show $35,145, but right below that, I input that he would receive $44,532 at age 70. Something is not right here.

Please help. Thanks.

Hi Mark,

It is netting taxes out of the gross social security amount that you are entering...

as the income graph is a net after taxes picture.
