I am not currently a customer but am considering purchasing the couples edition....my questions is, is the software on-line to your servers or is this a desktop application? So, does my personal data reside on your server(s) or is it completely retained on my personal computer?

The retirement software resides only on your desktop PC or Mac.
It is not a web program but a desktop program.
The internet is only used to facilitate the purchase and activation of the RetirementView program.
