David A. called in today because he has the Retirement Planner Software installed on 2 computers and when trying to access it on one of them, he is getting the following error message: Error 7-Out of Memory Routine. Can you please assist?
SYSTEM INFO and PROBLEM:
Windows 7
Starting RV2013.2
When starting the RetirementView program, it pops up an: Out of Memory error code 7 TorridErrorCode 12 box
You then see the splash screen but hitting ok brings error again and OK kills program.
CAUSE: Finally found the solution for this issue. One specific dll (MSSTDFMT.DLL) of this project is missing in this particular machine. I have placed and registered the dll. Now it is working fine.
SOLUTION: I changed installer to ALWAYS install. Apparently setting it to "Check Version" causes it NOT to be installed on some Windows 7 machines.
Note: that we did run the installer prior to this and did a search for MSSTDFMT.DLL in System area and it was NOT installed.
We changed the Pro installer so this should not be a problem in future. Need to do this on the Personal and Couples versions too.
