ANSWER:
It's because the 18.4% tax rate during retirement is being netted out of the gross pension amounts that you entered.
If you enable the taxes to be netted out of pensions and social security, then they are deducted out of the
pension amounts prior to being added into the retirement picture. You enable or disable that on the Settings menunder the Taxes menu item.
